Celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy

My dear brethren,

Below is an invitation to CFCFFL to the Opening Celebration ushering in the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Opening Celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy
Purpose: To gather the faithful for Spiritual Encouragement in preparation for the Jubilee Year of Mercy. This outreach will engage others to bring the image and message of Divine Mercy (Jesus, I trust in you) outside the walls of our church.
What: Rosary/Chaplet/Confessions/Song/Speakers/Social Gathering
Where: St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church (Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, Chicago) 1327 N. Noble Chicago, IL 60642
When: Sunday December 6, 2015
Time:  2-5pm

This is truly exciting!  Advent is here!

What better way to start this holy season than prepare our hearts to God's Divine Mercy and Love and join other brethren in Christ to give homage to Him who is source of all that is good.  This event is in preparation for the special Jubilee Year of Mercy which begins this Dec 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception and the 50th anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council.  It will close on Nov 20, 2016, the feast of Christ the King.

Let's be aware how truly spiritually powerful this year will be - a rare opportunity given to us by Pope Francis to obtain plenary indulgence EVERYDAY if we fulfill all the requirements (http://www.thedivinemercy.org/jubilee/thebasics/indulgence.php),  as referred to by him in the official Bull of Indiction of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy  (http://www.news.va/en/news/pope-francis-presents-bull-of-indiction-of-jubilee)

Imagine plenary indulgence for those who have gone before us, especially  our loved ones!  The ultimate gift we could ever give to them - eternal life in Heaven!!

Doubly meaningful for us in CFCFFL because our 2016 theme is 'Rich in Mercy' taken from Ephesians 2:4.

With all that said, I hope that this will give us all an impetus to accept this invitation to spend a couple of hours on Sunday, December 6, at 2:00pm.  The Lord always gives us opportunities for grace.  Let us recognize and take this blessed opportunity being extended to us.  Let us not miss out on this one - this year could prove to be a truly great jubilee if we prepare our hearts for Jesus and the abundant blessings He wants to pour upon each one of us and to our community.

If you accept this invitation and plan to come, it would be nice if you could bring a snack plate to share.  May I request the Chapter Servants to ensure this invitation is extended to all and coordinate transportation, if need be.  Feel free to bring family and friends (make this an advent activity for family).

If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to email me.

Thank you, brothers and sisters.  See you there (day after our Christmas party)!

Important Notice for upcoming Christmas Party on Dec. 5

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This is a follow-up to the email sent by Bro Barber Rabor regarding our Christmas Party. As what has been previously announced our Christmas Party will be at the Holiday Inn in Itasca on Saturday, December 5 at 6 pm. The price of the dinner is $30 for attendees 12 years old and older and $15 for those below 12 years old.

I need a headcount by Wednesday, Nov 25.I would like each chapter head to directly give me the names and age (for the kids only, hehehe) of those attending. Let us make sure that we have everyone who wants to attend in the list to avoid any confusion on the day of the party. We will have assigned seating so it is very important to have the names in by Nov 25.

We are expected to pay the hotel three days before the event. I would appreciate it if we can all try to pay by Nov 30. The Chapter Servants can deposit their collections into the CFC FFL bank account. However, it is imperative that an email be sent to me so I can update my registration list as to who have paid already. Your cooperation is very important for the success of our Christmas party.

Let us all work together so that we will all have a good and fun time together as a family and as we give thanks to our God for all the blessings received during year and as we anticipate the many blessings that will come our way in the New Year.

May God bless us all as we work in His vineyard.

In Christ,
Sis Joyce

*** Christmas Party Update ***

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

Happy Veterans Day!

A little over three weeks from now, it's our Christmas Party already. Yes, it's that time of year once again when we all gather as one community to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. A time for merriment, fellowship and camaraderie as we celebrate also the year that it was.

As we have informed everyone earlier, our party will be at the same hotel as last year's, at Holiday Inn Itasca on December 5. We also have contracted again DJ Aris Productions to provide us with the music and entertainment.

For the cost:
Adults and Kids above 12 will pay - $30
Kids 12 and below (with kids-meal plate) will pay - $15

We have asked sJoyce Jocelyn Bayona and her team once again to handle the registration and food. She will email separately for the headcount per chapter and/or ministry as she requests our dinner be pre-paid and not waiting on the day of the event to collect.

Our bro Lu Luciano G Coson and sis Cristina Mipana Angeles have agreed to emcee again also. They are in-charged of the programme as well. So for the presentation of the different ministries and chapters, please kindly coordinate with them.

Also, should you have guests you wish to invite, you can do so too as long as their meals are being paid for.

Parents please bring again gifts for your kids to be given by Santa Claus.

Praying for a non-snow-blizzard kind of night by then.

God bless,
bBarber Rabor

ps. bro Rene Garcia kindly forward this message to our regular email group of CFCFFL Illinois to reach our brethren without facebook. Thanks!
