Jubilee Year of Mercy

(From our Pro-life National Coordinator - sMargie Hermano)

Dear Brethren,

As promised during the Evangelization Rally, I am resending excerpt from a previous email regarding the Jubilee Year of Mercy for you to study and understand how truly extraordinary the opportunities for grace our loving and merciful Lord is giving us this year.  Let us not pass this up; rather let's appropriate fully the boundless gift the Lord is awaiting to pour upon us and our loved ones (faithful departed included - when we offer the full or partial indulgence we could merit for the remission of their sins),

Pope Francis has declared the new liturgical year the JubileeYear of Mercy which begins this Dec 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception and the 50th anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council.  It will close on Nov 20, 2016, the feast of Christ the King.

Pope Francis has given all the faithful the opportunity in this new liturgical year to gain a Plenary Indulgence EVERY SINGLE DAY as long as they fulfill the requirements explained in the LINKhttp.://www.thedivinemercy.org/jubilee/thebasics/indulgence.php

Further explanation of this Plenary Indulgence can be found in the official Bull of Indiction of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy (http://www.news.va/en/news/pope-francis-presents-bull-of-indiction-of-jubilee)

I am also adding the youtube link of Bishop Ronald Gainer of the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA talking about the Extraordinary Year of Mercy which is very interesting and informative.    For Household Servants, this is a great video to show at your household meeting during your topical discussion night.
